Company is 100% Estonian owned and the story of it began in 1999 when Plaines launched bottled 1,5 L still natural table water named Plaines.

In January 2000 we began to produce also still water in 0,5 L and 5,0 L bottles. We also changed 1,5 L bottle to 2,2 L bottle and we added into our assortment slightly carbonated water, slightly carbonated water with a taste of lemon and grapefruit.

In 2001 we applied for the title of “Approved Estonian Taste” and our products were recognized and given the award. This title is only granted to products, which are 100% made of Estonian-origin primary goods and which have been successfully tested as “excellent” to prove the quality. In Spring 2001 we started using “green energy” in production to preserve Estonian nature. 2001-2004 we produced “Selveri joogivesi” (Selver’s drinking water) for the corporate chain store Selver.

2002 – Because of EU requirements for foodstuff processing we renovated our production lines, which were approved by Estonian Veterinary and Food Board. Our products are checked regularly and all the results are fulfilling the requirements both of EU and Estonia.

In 2003 Plaines was the first company to launch slightly carbonated water with a taste of raspberry In Autumn 2003 Plaines launched a new product line called “Hansa”.

In 2004 we started to build a new storage room because of increased production

In 2007 July we have started up a new production line, which helps us to be more effective in production

In 2008 we’ve teamed up with Ltd Abestock, which is one of the Estonia’s leading distribution companies. This ensures better availability of our products in stores and improves quality of sale. We also stopped producing Plaines water in 2,2 L bottles and launched instead a completely new product line called “Plaines Eliit”.
